How much does lip filler cost?
Prices start from £295 at our Mayfair clinic, with your exact cost confirmed at your consultation. The final cost depends on how much product is used to achieve your desired look.
How long does lip filler last?
Lip filler typically lasts around 6 to 12 months, as the lips are a mobile area that tends to break down filler a little faster. We will discuss maintenance and timing at your consultation.
Does lip filler hurt?
Most people find it very manageable, often describing a small pinch or pressure. We apply a topical numbing cream beforehand and work gently to keep you as comfortable as possible.
How long does lip filler swelling last?
Some swelling is completely normal and is usually most noticeable in the first 24 to 48 hours, settling over the following days. Your lips generally look their best once any swelling has fully resolved at around two weeks.
Can lip filler look natural?
Yes, a natural result is very achievable and is our focus at our Mayfair clinic. By using the right amount of product and respecting your natural lip shape, we aim for subtle definition and balance rather than an overfilled look.
How much filler do lips need?
Many people start with around half to one millilitre for a soft, natural enhancement, though this varies from person to person. We will recommend an amount based on your lip shape and goals at your consultation.
What is the aftercare for lip filler?
We usually advise avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, heat and makeup on the lips for the first day or so, and staying well hydrated. You will receive full written aftercare guidance to support your recovery.
When can I see the final result of lip filler?
You will see a difference immediately, but we recommend allowing around two weeks for swelling to settle and the filler to soften into place. This is when your final, natural result is visible.
Can lip filler be dissolved?
Yes, because we use hyaluronic acid filler, it can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if you are unhappy or wish to start again. We are happy to talk this through at your consultation.
Am I a suitable candidate for lip filler?
Many healthy adults who would like more definition, hydration or balance to their lips are suitable, though suitability is always assessed individually. At your consultation we will review your medical history and discuss whether the treatment is right for you.
